Cold Processed and Unrefined

Sourced from the Amazon Rainforest

In the north of Brazil, only the fruit pulp of cupuaçu is commonly consumed, in the form of juices, ice creams, creams, and sweets. The butter is made from the seeds of this fruit. It is in the same family as Cocoa Butter but softer and very unique.

It comes from the Brazilian Amazon rainforest. Cupuacu butter is used to prevent dry skin, wrinkles, and restore flexibility and elasticity to the skin. Importantly, cupuacu butter has a high capacity for holding water. In fact, it can hold up to 4 times its weight in water making it great to help hydrate skin. Because of this it makes a good substitute for lanolin.
